This past week, INFOCUS was held in downtown Denver, CO, the home of JD Edwards. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the event, INFOCUS is a three-day conference, which provides in-depth education into both JD Edwards World and EnterpriseOne products. Generally those in attendance include the end users of JD Edwards who are looking for focused education, from enhancements and techniques to exclusive tips for modules and more. In addition, a vendor showcase takes place throughout the conference.
I found the experience of INFOCUS 2014 to be a positive one. It’s a manageable event that is more intimate than its “larger sibling”, COLLABORATE. The topics for the over fourteen hours of educational sessions were relevant, and the audiences were small enough to address individual questions based upon user experiences. There were a number of JD Edwards user group meetings coupled in with the event, along with a few keynote sessions from Oracle, focusing on business innovation.
The vendor showcase hosted over 55 companies, including EmeraldCube Solutions, and provided for a convenient and personable setting. It was a great opportunity to learn from JD Edwards customers and to network with those within the industry. If you’re planning your travel schedule for 2015, add INFOCUS in August to your list. You’ll enjoy the wealth of information provided by the JD Edwards community, not to mention the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
