Think JD Edwards is Dead? Think Again, INFOCUS Proves It’s Thriving26th August 2016
For those of you who were lucky enough to attend INFOCUS in Denver, CO, earlier this month, you were able to witness firsthand that JD Edwards is continuing to thrive. From educational sessions and networking opportunities, to a jam packed vendor showcase and super sessions, the JD Edwards community gathered once again to discover and share JDE best practices. If you weren’t able to attend, here’s a brief recap of key areas of focus:
Continuing the journey from Collaborate this past April, the discussion of JD Edwards in the cloud was a key area of focus throughout INFOCUS. Questions surrounding what will drive cloud growth and how the landscape will change were touched upon throughout the event. We learned that more and more progressive organizations are looking to go cloud-based within the next 12 months. In doing so, JDE customers can remove unnecessary capital investments in hardware, create a scalable platform that can handle growth, and ultimately reduce total cost of ownership. Having a strong JD Edwards customer base residing in the cloud strengthens the long term viability of JDE.
In light of the increased frequency and severity of worldwide data breaches, a new key area of interest at INFOCUS was data security. At INFOCUS, EmeraldCube presented to a packed room on FraudPatrol, a solution built specifically for JDE E1. FraudPatrol proactively detects and alerts suspicious transaction activity by closely monitoring JDE production data. The solution focuses on securely detecting issues and notifying designated personnel within the organization when breaches occur, proactively stopping fraudulent activity before it’s too late. To learn more about FraudPatrol, visit www.emeraldcube.com/fraudpatrol/.
Also at INFOCUS, EmeraldCube further enhanced their suite of data security solutions by launching EnCrypto, encryption done right. EnCrypto delivers JD Edwards encryption capabilities with military grade strength. The only JDE application-level encryption solution on the market, EnCrypto features:
- JDE sensitive data protection with military grade encryption (AES-256)
- Column-level transparent data encryption for all platforms supported by JDE
- Data that is stored encrypted on the database (encryption at rest)
- Fine-grained control over who has access to decrypt which fields and columns
If your organization has JDE data security concerns, then EmeraldCube has a solution for you. With FraudPatrol and EnCrypto you can protect your most sensitive JD Edwards data. For more information, visit www.emeraldcube.com or email us firstname.lastname@example.org.
INFOCUS was a huge success for the JD Edwards community and the EmeraldCube team. We hope that your journey successfully prepared you to optimize your JD Edwards user experience and to see that JDE is thriving! We look forward to working with you in the near future.
