Taking You Beyond the Cloud

Throughout 2016, a key topic of discussion amongst customers and members of the JD Edwards community has been the consideration (or action), of migrating applications to the cloud. The goal is to lower total cost of ownership and add flexibility to businesses. The cloud allows for customers to quickly scale their server resource to align with what is needed for use today, while easily adjusting to future requirements.

EmeraldCube is excited to have launched a unique cloud solution to the market, EmeraldCloud. A secure managed hosting solution built exclusively for JD Edwards, EmeraldCloud takes the user beyond basic cloud conveniences with a comprehensive offering.

EmeraldCloud is a:

  • Managed hosting solution designed for business applications
  • Leveraging the power and scale of Amazon Cloud
  • With military-grade sensitive data encryption
  • Combined with EmeraldCube Managed Services
  • And the advanced proactive monitoring capabilities of EmeraldPrism

As an Amazon Web Service Partner, a global infrastructure is provided to each EmeraldCloud user. Through Virtual Private Clouds (VPC), customers experience the highest levels of security, availability, elasticity, and an array of connectivity options. Coupled with infrastructure monitoring, EmeraldPrism, and FraudPatrol, all customers experience a balanced support staff combined with the extensive JD Edwards expertise of the EmeraldCube team along with the robust Amazon Web Services infrastructure.

If your organization is ready to walk away from hardware upgrades and infrastructure management, and ready to invest more time focusing on your business, then EmeraldCloud is your solution. To learn more, visit us at http://www.emeraldcube.com/emeraldcloud or email us at info@emeraldcube.com.

New Year? Bring on Collaborate17

Holidays… followed by the New Year… followed by Collaborate17! Believe it or not, Collborate17 is just around the corner. This year’s event will be bigger and better than ever, delivering a full spectrum of Oracle Applications and Technology education for the JD Edwards community.

Collbaorate17 will be held April 2 – April 6, in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. EmeraldCube is excited to be a sponsor and participant. From educational sessions and breaking product news, to an extensive vendor showcase and networking opportunities, Collaborate is an amazing JD Edwards community event that should not be missed.

EmeraldCube will participate in the Exhibitor Showcase (Booth #438), sharing information about new product launches and providing personal demos. In addition, the EmeraldCube team will be presenting eleven educational sessions and one deep-dive session. We will continue to add information about these sessions to our site so that you can add them to your show planner.

If you’d like to schedule an appointment, please send an email to info@emeraldcube.com. We look forward to seeing you in Las Vegas at Collaborate!

Kick Off: Lunch and Learn Series

On Friday, December 2, EmeraldCube kicked off a Lunch and Learn Series in Alpharetta, GA. This free educational opportunity was held at Capital Grille. In conjunction with our partners at Little Rapids, attendees enjoyed lunch while learning about JD Edwards security best practices and how a proactive approach can change the business landscape.

Pete Cyganiak from Little Rapids, reviewed the Security Best Practices their organization has incorporated over the past year. Using real world examples and solutions, Mr. Cyganiak was able to share some of the struggles they once experienced (such as failing an audit), which eventually led them to being one of the most secure businesses in their industry. Specific topics covered included Malware, Ransom Ware, Passwords, Patching, Vendor Network Access, and many more key issues and trends within the industry.

In 2017, EmeraldCube plans to host additional Lunch and Learns across the country. We will be posting more information on our website and via EmeraldFocus

Happening Outside “The Cube”

With the holidays around the corner and the office filled with hustle and bustle, many Cubers set aside time to give back to their local communities. Jeremy Harms, our Director of Business Intelligence, has been dedicated for many years as a volunteer in Atlanta. Between his efforts with Vine City Code (www.emeraldcube.com/2014/11/the-vine-city-code-crew) and Habitat for Humanity, Jeremy makes it a family affair during the holidays volunteering side by side at the annual Lazarus Project Christmas Dinner.

Since 2001, this dinner has been a celebration of the Advent season and the culmination of another year spent sharing life together with the homeless men and women of Atlanta. Jeremy and his family celebrate Christmas with those friends living on the street and staying in nearby shelters, by serving a feast in the Urban Garden at Atlanta Mission. All are welcomed at a candlelit feast complete with real plates, tablecloths, caroling, and loads of Christmas cheer. To find out more and to get involved, visit http://www.wearelazarus.org

Thank you Jeremy for all you do beyond The Cube!
