Collaborate 2018 Highlights
By: Jerry Salazar
For those of you who made it to Collaborate 2018, we trust everyone had a safe trip home after a very intense week full of great sessions and networking. With 200+ JD Edwards Education Sessions available, I felt overwhelmed with the amount of information provided. I promised myself to summarize what I learned as soon as I got back home, this way all the information would be fresh and available when I needed it! Also, I wanted to share this information with those of you who could not make it out to the conferences this year.
From my point of view (based on the sessions I attended), this year there were 3 main tracks:
- Maximizing the 9s
- Continuous Delivery
- Orchestrator and Notifications
Let’s dive in a bit on each category, and use the links provided to get more information.
Maximizing the 9s
No matter what version of JD Edwards you are on, it is important that you maximize the use of all tools available to you. From real business cases (learn from others) to Oracle’s latest, the overall experience was to convey the idea of taking advantage of the features and functionality available to improve user experience and ultimately maximize your investment. Many sessions highlighted the key features that have been delivered in previous Tools releases and how customers are leveraging these features. More…

Timecard Automation: It Can Do THAT??
You may have heard someone talk about Timecard Automation once or twice. And you think, yes, but I have a third party time and attendance system, so I don’t need that. Or you think, I have ESS time entry, so what could Timecard Automation do for me? Or, I have no use for Overtime Rules. WRONG! Timecard Automation is more than overtime rule processing…much more.
Join Director of Application Managed Services, Sarah Mills, and learn about Timecard Templates, Change Rules for holidays/special events, using Retro Pay to look back at timecards and apply that raise automatically. You’ll go over the basics (setting up groups) and dig into the fields/files to fully understand how the processing works. You might come away with an idea to leverage TCA in your organization, or, if you already use it, how to extend it even more.
When: Thursday, June 21 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm EST
